Animal advocates help retired military working dogs

In addition to her professional endeavors, Debra is deeply committed to serving her community and advocating for causes close to her heart. A testament to her philanthropic spirit, she organized a community event featuring auctions, food, and live music, going above and beyond by personally funding a band to ensure the success of the occasion. Through her tireless efforts, the event raised an impressive $8000 in donations, earmarked to support a noble cause: rescuing abandoned dogs which served oversees that were brought back safely to reunite with the soldiers they served with or with another in the United States. Debra's unwavering dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of these animals exemplifies her compassionate nature and underscores her commitment to giving back to her community on both local and global scales.

Giving Back Through Mission K9 Rescues

Mission K9 is a beacon of hope for retired working dogs, providing them with the love and care they deserve after years of service. Dedicated to their mission of rescue, reunification, re-homing, and rehabilitation, Mission K9 has been a lifeline for over a thousand retired working dogs since its inception in 2013. These noble animals, often veterans of military service, find solace and support through this organization's efforts. Mission K9's commitment to ensuring these canine heroes live out their golden years in comfort and happiness is a testament to their unwavering dedication to man's best friend.

ABOUT MISSION K9 RESCUE

Mission K9 Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, reuniting, re-homing, and rehabilitating retired working dogs, particularly those who have served in the military. Since its establishment in 2013, Mission K9 has facilitated the adoption of over 1,000 retired working dogs, providing them with loving homes and the care they need in their retirement. These dogs, who have served their country dutifully, find a second chance at happiness through the efforts of Mission K9 Rescue.

Animal advocates honored retired U.S. military dogs Chuky and Mako on Friday in Fort Lauderdale. The ceremony to honor the war veterans was also meant to raise awareness of their plight.
